KITT AND FLASK: THE VALLEY OF HOPE .... REVIEWS
by Brian Riley.... In this book, set in the Kitt and Flask universe, two ships of the dreaded Conglomerate, a group that makes Star Wars Empire seem like wayward boy scouts in comparison, lands on the world of Shree. These ships are dispatched with fairly early in the book, leaving behind a group of human slaves. The book is about their slow acclimation to Shree, freedom, and living in peace with their surroundings once again. Many interesting stories are told of the individual slaves/settlers on their journey to their new home: The Valley of Hope. Along the way we also learn about the individual Nomvre, a race of tiny humans, and their efforts to help the settlers, as well as a bit of the ecology of Shree. In her fourth book, co-authored with Joyce F. Miller-Martin, Ms Parker's character's personalities are maturing nicely. She has a strong grip on the main characters, their motivations, and their personalities, and it shows throughout the book. The settlers are new, and one hopes there will be a continuation of their stories as they settle properly on Shree, a process that only begins in “Valley of Hope” by Gita Streby.... What a wonderful book. I really enjoyed going along on the journey of the survivors. Each character was uniquely defined and easy to relate to. As with the other books in this series, you feel like you are right there in the middle of the story as it unfolds. Dinna and Joyce did an excellent job! Thank you for sharing your collective talent. KITT AND FLASK: NEW ADVENTURES....REVIEWS by Gita Streby.... It was really interesting to see where the characters ended up and what adventures they were all having, separately and together. I especially enjoyed reading about Vinny and Abner and their 'voyage'. Dinna does an excellent job intricately describing each event and activity. I could almost taste the fish they cooked! When I finished reading her third book, I felt just like I did after the first two..... wondering if there was going to be another one, and how soon can I order it! KITT AND FLASK: SHREE ....
