Coming 2009, Part One of Heroes and Heroines: Metamorphosis. Gai and Janis saDance leave Sirit, looking for adventure in the Systems, and find more than they bargained for. They think battling Harsee and freeing an imprisoned Empress are enough adventure to last a lifetime, but that is only the beginning. On the way they pick up a frail Zionist, a cosmetically enhanced Fossmeran and a long-lost brother. But during their adventures, events evoke memories of Gai's past, memories of childhood he thought safely locked away in the depths of his mind. While Janis struggles to understand and control uncanny abilities inherited from her Dahle mother, Gai sinks deeper into psychosis. Before they return to Sirit both will undergo metamorphosis.

Print: $12.57 Download: $2.50 This is a tale of the Systems and of DJ Galen who travels through time and space to the dying construct world of Dacsus. It looks like he’s finally found a home with Ala, a warrior priestess, and the people she protects. Ala came to the desert plain from her high mountain city, following the path of prophecy which says she will meet a man from another world and together they will destroy a great evil. But is he DJ Galen?
Then the Sirit come to Dacsus in search of its hidden technology and find DJ Galen. When DJ came to Dacsus he didn’t come empty-handed and what he brought and what he knows make him a very valuable commodity.
And the Dacsuns learn that these visitors from another world are not always honest and honorable, not when it comes to DJ Galen and what he can give them, willing or not.

Print: $13.55 Download: $2.50 This is a tale of the Systems, and of Raithe, an easy-going sort who lives aboard his alien-built ship while he works as a tour guide on Touraine. For much of the time he can forget he's the product of two species and does not feel entirely comfortable with either of them. When Ember abducts him from the Mary Rose tavern she sees in him a means to destroy her sadistic Slaver master. But Marquesa returns from the dead and recaptures Raithe and makes him use his uncanny abilities for interstellar thievery.
Ember is forced by Raithe's Dahle mate Feyeth to join her search for Raithe throughout the Systems. With the help of Trik, an abused and reviled telepath doomed by a primitive Inquisition, they will fight Marquesa for Raithe's life, soul and sanity.

Print: $6.18 Download: $2.50 I'm told the dead are all around us. I wouldn't know about that - I see only the violently slain. They could be victims of hit-and-run, innocents caught in a cross-fire or the murdered. They whisper to me and they never, ever, forget the face of their killer. They aren't the only supernatural things I see. No, they're not vampires, werewolves or fae - those things don't exist. We live side by side with the Otherworldy, but that's too much of a mouthful for me. I call them demons. If you saw them as I do you'd know why. Right now I'm trying to find Lawrence, the missing son of a murdered woman. Or was she murdered? But Clarion PD gave me a partner I would rather shoot than work with. I can't tell them he's a demon. They'd think I'm crazy.

Print: $7.80 Download: $2.50 My name is Tiff Banks and I see things I'd rather not. The violently slain whisper to me and they never, ever, forget the face of their killer.
Someone is killing the Otherworldy and their Dark Cousins. What are Dark Cousins? I have no idea. My partner knows but he won’t - or can’t - tell me. Our Dark Cousin clients are not exactly informative and all I have to go on is the disappearance of a Latino gangsta and the nineteenth-century journal of a fifteen year-old British girl in what was then Burma. Lives are at risk, and so is my relationship with the one man I've come to trust. So it's back to what I do best: pound the pavement and talk to dead people. Can my spectral informers help me this time?
You bet.
