Influenced by early eighties post punk music, Michael D'Orazio emerged from the late eighties goth/punk industrial club scene only to find himself lost with a guitar in his hand, and didn't how to play it. He started singing in class in high school in the mid eighties, and found himself in a band called "Feedback", from there he landed in a goth/punk band called "The Burning". This was a very exciting time in his life, and it is no wonder he found himself wondering what to do when it was all over. He went to art school to learn how to create kick ass illustrations, and between classes he practiced his guitar. It was a rocky road leaving friends behind only to find social disasters awaiting him. Stuck in suburbia, in pennsylvania during 2000-2008, all he did was attend local open mics creating music he felt would be comparable to what he experienced in his early years, which is gloom and doom. "There is nothing sure in this world" so says Billie Idol, and Michael agrees that too much too soon can ruin ones personality to such an extent that it may interupt the natural development of ones personality. He was spoiled with dark, and interesting music, and now that he is stuck in suburban hell, his ego won't allow himself to support some of the acts around him, cause he wen't through so much in the past. He should have been coddled like every other american child, and follow the sheep herd aspect of american society. but oh well he is spoiled what can he say.

Print: $30.99 This book represents a rebellion of thought and imagery against modern day conservative, and commercial art. In a very graphic and bold representation of the images such as day of the dead skeletons, and goblins, evil clowns, naked clown woman like on the cover. This book was not put together to bow down to the establishment of children's art, nor does it insult the intelligence of the reader, trying to coddle the minds of today. It does not want to be nice, so don't buy this if you are going to be critical of work steps over boundries. This book is in full color.

Disc: $10.00 Delicate, and heartfelt, "Sing-a-Song" is very soft, and sung with feeling.
I don't know what to say about this particular cd. It is very mellow and folky. Slightly experimental, moody, and sometimes a little silly. It is kind of fun, and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

Disc: $10.00 I wrote these songs when I was maybe nineteen, with my former guitarist, back in the late eighties. We we're a goth/punk band, and played shows at parties, and clubs down the city of philadelphia. These songs we're the best of the recordings we did at the time. We we're called "The Burning". These songs are similar to the early eighties post punk bands such as Bauhaus. These recordings are very dramatic, and somewhat kitsch, but they are memorable to me.
1. Burning
2. Fall Girl
3. The Funky Chicken(Vampire Song)
4. H.I.V
5. The Gate
6. Stay

Print: $20.99 Sketches of the story Hansel and Grethel. It all started at the University, where the artist concentrated his energy on children's book illustration. These are all the sketches he did during my last year at school, and a year after he graduated. There are some great drawings of the witch, and the woodcutter, and his wife.
This is as close to a children's story the artist will get.

Print: $31.00 This book contains some of my best work I did at the University, and years after I graduated.
It shows a gradual change in technique and style, from beginning to end. Half the book is color work, and the other half is black and white comic styles. It includes most of the "Freak'in Out" comics that I did, which are about some freaky looking guy with long hair always freaking out about something. There are also some really neat pictures of Trixie the Schizophrenic Girl, when she was inspired by icelandic singer Bjork. She then turned into a goth, queen of the dark.

Print: $15.99 This book was written and illustrated by
Michael D'Orazio. He always wanted to act
out his anguish, and his frustrations in music.
Since he was not allowed to present his work
in a very serious manner, he took it out in his
drawings. "Trixie, the Schizophrenic Girl",
is sort of like aa fantasy about music that he
captured during the 80's, when music was
kind of dark, vengeful, and was sort of
pessimistic. There are many forms of music
other than pop music. And there is a time and
place for each one.
Besides Trixie, there are stories called "Hitler wanted to be an Artist", which is a documented case of truth, and "The Boy, the Stones, and the Tree", which is a portrait of a boy who cant avoid punishment in society, but grows immune to their attacks. "The Trees that got Mad", was all about natures revenge against humanity, etc. I hope you get to read this book, cause it is artistically one of a kind.

Print: $20.99 "Exciting"!!! This version of the book is the one you can take home to the kids. It is very halloweeny. These images contain scary skeletons, gothic clowns, and freaky faces.
It isn't a children's book, but I would imagine that young people, as well as adults would appreciate the imagery. There are some pictures that depict violence, but hey it isn't worse than anything on T.V. Makes a good coffee table book.

Print: $15.00 After I graduated from the University of the Arts I began going from town to town drawing pictures in coffee shops. "Freak'in Out" was a comic strip I wrote based on a song I did in the early nineties. This book contains all of the comics I did from 1998 to 2001, I am pretty sure. It contains "Trixie, the Schizophrenic Girl", and a comic called "Zero", etc. The whole book is one style of cartooning so I hope you like it. It also contains articles relevant to the artwork to give you something to read, or compare it to.

Disc: $10.00 "Kali Ma" is a collection of instrumentals I did using the Cuatro(a puerto rican sort of mandolin). They were improvised as I recorded them. Some of them have a composition, so I can play them live the way they are. The music is has an eastern flavor, but they are not whole hearted traditional music. Some tracks we're inspired from movies such as "Excaliber", or "Last Temptation of Christ".1. Cities At Night
2. Blue Light In The Dark 2
3. The Wedding
4. Nervous Wreck
5. Wild Journey
6. Mourning the Death/Sharpening the Sword

8. Things Looking Up
9. The End

Disc: $10.00 This is a Cd single contains the title track "Freak'in Out", and the follow up song "Loonier than Loony". This song was produced by Steve Cluthe. It was inspired by Cypress Hill, Bjork, Renegade Soundwave, and the old days, driving around toking it up, and getting into adventures. I used to play this song for my friends while they where stoned, so it became an instant favorite. I am glad I still have a copy of it!!!
1. Freak'in Out(Lucid Mix)
2. Loonier than Looney
3. Freak'in Out(Stoned Mix)

Disc: $10.00 "Suicide" is the first set of recordings the artist did on his own. He just started to use the recorder, and experimented alot with different recording techniques. Some of the songs are very trippy, and very delicate. Most of the album is very folky, but in a modern way. He tried to evoke a certain feeling, and he did suprise himself. One person he met at an open mic said it was "captivating"

Disc: $10.00 This cd contains an old song I did called "Who I am". The song explains to me spiritual awakening, and is very sort of rythmic, and tribal. I wrote this in reaction to a book I read, called "Living with Kundalini", by Gopi Krishna. I tried to capture the song as best I could, so enjoy. The rest of the album is a reaction to what someone said about Sing-a-Song. There wasn't enough upbeat songs. So the rest of the cd is kind of upbeat. I don't know though.
The second half of the cd is the EP "It isn't safe to walk around here anymore".
is a brooding, spooky trip into a world of apprehension, and paranoia.
1. Intro
2. Who I Am
3. Several Sins (Rowland S. Howard)
4. Feelin Low
5. Sometime Soon
6. Don't Fall(the Chameleons)

8. Running Out Of Time
9. Blue Light in the Dark
10. Spooky Place
11. I Know
12. So Far Away..

Disc: $10.00 Sing-a-Song 2, is a collection of Songs that reflect the state of the times. "You're Alone" was written when I was harrassed on the job by a co worker who wanted "a bed buddy". My hatred, and disgust of humanity really comes out in this song. "Sorrow" is about having no where to run, longing for some shred of hope. There is no relief from harrassment, and intimidation into todays society. There is also guest appearance on track 8, with Jeff Mastroberti(a poet, and sometimes singer). He also talks about the neverending progress of humanity, which should be written as societies self-destruction. I also do a second version of "There She Goes", with me using the cuatro. "The Gate", is a song from the band "The Burning", and in that I also used the cuatro. Everything else are new songs. This cd is somewhat dark, and sometimes somber, easy listening.

Disc: $10.00 This cd was recorded at Chaplin's Music Cafe in Spring City, Pennsylvania in the Summer of 2008, and the winter of 2009. It was very tense on stage with Michael playing stream of consciousness songs like "Count your Failures", and alternative versions of "There She Goes", which is about discarding women into the river as an act of failure in love. "Car Crash" was a recollection of his girlfriends car accident in the gloom of a cold winters night. Very Scary, and very tense. "Eclipse" was most people's favorite on stage. Very dark and gloomy post punk inspired modern folk music. Go to www.myspace.com/michaeldoraziomusic to hear some of the tracks. 1. Intro
2. So Far Away
3. Eclipse
4. Car Crash
5. Count Your Failures
6. There She Goes
