Ashish Mohan

is a B.Tech.(Hons) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a Software Consultant by profession and is currently working as a Solutions Architect for a Delhi based client. One of his passions is reading fiction.

Having read a good number of bestsellers of authors of the likes of Sidney Sheldon, Jeffrey Archer, Robin Cook, Robert Ludlum, Mario Puzo, he has, for the first time, written a short novel. The idea behind this novel came to him one fine day when he was busy working on a movie script.

The script was never completed. But this novel was written by him in a start to finish schedule of over 4 months.

In the first phase of review, he sent a preview of his work to a couple of his colleagues in the IT industry and got a varied response from all of them. Most of the responses were very much on the positive side. This spurred him on to finish off his work and get it published.

However, each step he took towards getting it published, it was thwarted by the established book publishers in India. Some of them politely refused saying they did not publish this kind of a novel and some of them came back with the statement that their yearly publication programme was full. Determined to get it published at any cost, he mulled over the idea of getting it released as an eBook on the internet - a medium which enjoys a wider audience base and a medium even he was very comfortable with.

Finally the wait is over.

After this attempt, he has started work on his second novel and a movie script. Both of these have storylines which are very different and more complex than the simple story which has come up in his first novel.
