"I really appreciate all the encouragement, especially from such professionals as uber-comic writer John Kovalic, creator of Dork Tower and other wonderful things; and the kind words from comic/graphic novel maestro (and also the best writer "Lost" has ever had) Brian K. Vaughan." - AKB

Download: $2.50 An epic poem inspired by Arthurian legend, respinning the tale of Merlin and Nimue. This is a lovely and intriguing piece, exploring the master-and-apprentice dynamic as recounted by Merlin and Nimue themselves. Nimue's Challenge reveals the secrets and inner thoughts of the great magician and his ambitious female student and seducer, deftly painting distinct characters and a complex relationship in a haunting setting.
. . . . If you want to print it out on your end from the downloaded file, that's just fine. The pages are in 8.5x11" size (convertible to A4), and there are no blank pages that would be necessary for a traditional book layout. The full manuscript is 12 pages long. This includes title page to author's note. You can, of course, print out as much or as little of it as you like.
Nimue's Challenge is also available as a special home-made booklet assembled and signed or inscribed with a personal message by the author.

Download: FREE This ten-verse lyric poem is an homage to Roger Zelazny and his fantasy books in the magnificent Amber series.
Unabashedly inspired while re-reading the series, this is a work of tribute, a faint echo from the epic song of Amber.
This piece is offered freely to any Zelazny fans (and to those who are not yet fans); it was written with love and respect but not express permission, and will generate no income for this Amber-touched poet. Download for Free |

Download: $2.50 A collection of 6 very short stories: science fiction, surrealist, absurd, fantastical, creepy.
Behind the scenes at a restaurant run by robots. The practical problems of a unicorn. Chivalry isn't dead but perhaps it should be. The dangers of renting. The alarming true nature of writer's block.
If you want to print it out on your end from the downloaded file, that's peachy keen. The pages are in 8.5x11" size (convertible to A4), and there are no blank pages that would be necessary for a traditional book layout. The full manuscript is 15 pages long. This includes title page, contents, etc. You can, of course, print out as much or as little of it as you like.
Cheers!

47 pieces of free verse and structured poetry, telling stories of our human path: A cheating magician, a cryptic departure, programmable reproductions of long-dead literary giants, space exploration - the lover's cling of the past, the shock of a future not quite as predicted, and the curious nook of the present.
"The multiplicity of Annie Boyle: she is a classicist, a romantic and a futurist all in one."
- Matt DiGangi, editor, Thieves Jargon
