Mr. Anura Guruge

Anura Gurugé just finished writing a book, “Web Services: Theory & Practice”, which will be published by Elsevier in February 2004. In 2002, Elsevier published another book by him on “Corporate Portals Empowered with XML and Web Services”. Anura, who used to be “Mr. SNA” for nearly two decades, has also written 3 other books starting with “SNA: Theory & Practice” in 1984. In addition to these books, Anura has published over 325 articles as well as edited a number of technical handbooks. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Southern New Hampshire University teaching post-graduate and undergraduate courses on IT technology and marketing. Anura is an independent, ‘for hire’, consultant in the IBM space. He performs various technical and marketing projects ranging from product design to competitive analysis for clients in the IBM networking and Web-to-host arenas. He was actively involved with Token-Ring switching, FRADS and ATM.
