My name is Linda Jackson and I have been designing and publishing my knitted textile designs under the name of Artika Designs since 1990. These can be seen on my website www.Artika.co.uk. As a life long needlework enthusiast myself, addicted to knitting, both hand and machine, crochet, embroidery, patchwork, quilting and rug making, I am always inspired by the sight of an exquisite fabric or textile design. All the more so when these pop up on everyday items - a little jewel to brighten up the horizon during the course of an otherwise unremarkable day! Because of this I always seek out calendars, cards and stationery featuring images of textiles. Sadly these are hard to come by. So it is that with the advent of Lulu who can produce items on demand at an affordable price, I have produced the 2008 Knit and Stitches UK and US Calendars. I have opted for the colour book format for both these,with a convenient horizontal grid and a coil binding that allows the calendar to be hung up. The calendar dates and the textile design photo are on the same page along with the designs in chart form.

Knit and Stitches US Calendar 2008
This is the US version of the 2008 Knit and Stitches calendar, showing all the usual US yearly events and holidays. It is presented in a coil-bound colour booklet, which you turn on its side to hang up as a calendar.
All the fourteen designs come with a color chart, so that knitting and stitching enthusiasts can re-create the designs at home for personal use. Each page shows a photo of the original knitted textile design, the color design chart, a convenient horizontal calendar grid, a note section and a mini calendar for the following month so you can plan ahead. Knit and Stitches UK Calendar 2008
This is the UK version of the 2008 Knit and Stitches calendar, showing all the usual UK yearly events and holidays. It is presented in a coil-bound colour booklet, which you turn on its side to hang up as a calendar.
Apart from photos of the original knitted textile designs (one for every month plus one each on the front and back cover) created by Linda Jackson of Artika Designs, knitting and stitching enthusiasts can take advantage of the accompanying charts which they can use to re-create the designs at home for personal use. Every design comes with its own chart.
