Red, the color of blood
Shed by those who had a dream
That this nation could be free.
And also shed by those today
Who believe in the power
Of a people standing together.
White, the color of purity and innocence
Symbolizing a place that is still
One Nation Under God.
Blue, the color of vigilence and perseverance
Representing a country always watchful
And striving to uphold right.
The Red, White, and Blue
Mean so much more to us
Than we often realize.
So next time you see the colors fly,
Think about what they mean
And be thankful for our nation.
