Coach Ronn Wyckoff started playing organized basketball at age 11 on a playground team in Orlando, Florida. He had his first coaching job at age 19, while in college, on a playground in Fresno, California. The coaching bug had bitten. It would become his passion and life-long vocation.
Since those beginnings, Coach Ronn has spent more than fifty years in basketball, coaching youth basketball up through national teams, and as a player, lecturer, author, court-side commentator, and even refereeing. As an international consultant, his programs have reached hundreds of players and coaches around the world. He coached four national teams and has conducted national player camps. He averaged over 22 ppg, (before the advent of the 3-point line) in his fifteen year playing career. He played for three years in Sweden at the end of his playing career. Let me help you become an outstanding defensive teaching-coach. Good defense begins by teaching a stance that gets the player low, on balance, under control, and able to move quickly and efficiently.
From this 43 page e-book, combining text, diagrams and pictures, I’ll teach you how to teach stance easily and effectively. Then we’ll cover every aspect of teaching the individual, in each position… how to move; how to defend the player with the ball in different areas of the floor; how to defend players off the ball; and how to begin to put together the team aspect of playing “Triangle Defense”.

I'll teach you: How to teach the beginner, so they get it right from the start; How I counsel players as to what I expect with their ball handling skills within their position and within the context of what the offense is trying to establish; How teaching-coaches can direct discipline so the coach, not players, dictates the style of play.

During my 50 + years of playing and coaching basketball, I have noted that all great athletes share the common denominator of good body balance and body control.
Every active part of the game requires a player to have good balance and body control.
I wanted to bring this same control to less gifted players so they could compete with the better athletes--I wanted to give average players the "superstar" basketball skills that could make them equal to or even take them above the rest of their competition.
