I teach physics at Fullerton College, a community college in Southern California. My physics textbooks are all available under a Creative Commons license, and can be freely downloaded.
Wholesale customers: I strongly recommend that you use UPS Ground rather than USPS Media Mail. Lulu's packaging on large orders does not seem to be good enough to hold up to shipment by Media Mail.

Print: $8.00 Download: FREE This is a short introductory calculus text, focusing mainly on integration and differentiation of functions of a single variable, although iterated integrals are discussed. Infinitesimals are used when appropriate, and are treated more rigorously than in old books like Thompson's Calculus Made Easy, but in less detail than in Keisler's Elementary Calculus: An Approach Using Infinitesimals. Numerical examples are given using the open-source computer algebra system Yacas, and Yacas is also used sometimes to cut down on the drudgery of symbolic techniques such as partial fractions. Proofs are given for all important results, but are often relegated to the back of the book, and the emphasis is on teaching the techniques of calculus rather than on abstract results. For more information about the book, see its home page at lightandmatter.com.

Print: $10.58 Download: FREE Eyes and Ears is a book of melodies for use in practicing sight-singing. It currently contains about 400 melodies, arranged systematically for education. So far, I've concentrated on assembling a body of relatively easy material that would be sufficient for the first semester or two of a college-level musicianship course. There is a small amount of didactic text, but if you're going to use the book for self-instruction, you'll need some background in basic music theory, and preferably access to someone knowledgeable to provide guidance. For more information, see the book's home page.
