Print: $39.97 Examines over 2300 Scriptures from the Old and New Testaments. The Christian Church of the Gospel Age is spoken of in Scripture as the new creation specifically mentioned as "new creatures in Christ" (2 Cor. 5:17). The laws, duties, privileges and responsibilities of God's new creation are defined in Scripture and are designed for their instruction, edification, blessing and comfort. The New Creation discusses at length the obligation placed on Christians. These obligations do not detract from but enhance Christian growth when properly fulfilled. This is important in order that Christians may achieve a more complete spirit of discipleship to Christ.

Print: $14.12 Look what Rutherford wrote regarding marriage in this issue: "Surely, then, in the light of what we have hereinbefore noted, this so-called "love" should be shunned rather than sought. To avoid it, however, is not easy; as, like other snares of Satan, it is brought about very subtly. Frequent contact and association with those of the opposite sex is generally a matter of necessity with those who are engaged in a common service. For them to avoid the entanglements and servile bondage of "love" (desire for possession), it would be wise to avoid anything in the nature of personal confidences or intimacies with associates of the opposite sex, no matter how seemingly innocent those confidences or intimacies might be.

Print: $29.96 J.H. Paton contributed many articles to The Watch Tower for several years. Some of these articles were still from a Trinitarian perspective, stating for example that Jesus was not Michael the Archangel but "God manifest in the flesh." Russell encouraged Paton to write a book to replace Barbour's Three Worlds for Watch Tower readers, which he did. That book was DAY DAWN. However, a doctrinal dispute with Russell over the Atonement or "ransom" doctrine caused Paton to leave the Watch Tower. This book, THE PERFECT DAY, is the folloW-up to DAY DAWN.

Print: $19.96 Elder Jonas Wendell (December 25th, 1815 - August 14, 1873) of Edenboro, Pennsylvania, was a zealous Adventist preacher following in the spirit of William Miller. Following the "Great Disappointment" Wendell experienced periods of weak faith, as did many Adventists. He eventually recovered his faith after renewing his study of Bible chronology (historic and prophetic) and began to preach extensively throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, the Virginias, and New England By the late 1860s he had been studying the chronology of the Bible, and was encouraged by conclusions showing Christ's return would occur in either 1868 or 1873/4. In 1870 Wendell published his views in the booklet entitled The Present Truth, or Meat in Due Season concluding that the Second Advent was sure to occur in 1873. Unknown to him, attendance at one of his presentations restored Charles Taze Russell's faith in the Bible as the true word of God, leading to Russell's ministry.
