Here are a couple of reviews and what they had to say about "The Weeping Rose".
by Laeia Jackson 13 Jul 2008 "I must admit that I'm better at writing poetry than I am at analyzing it. Still, the poems in this book are deep yet clear and the pictures taken, striking with a symbolism one mightn't understand upon a first glance."
The Wolf - 5 Jul 2008 by Tanner Brockwell "I really enjoyed the preview, and your poem 'The Wolf' was resonating with me still after I read it! Good job, I like the fact you present the written word and imagery too!"
The Weeping Rose - 2 Jul 2008 by Teresa Hill "The Weeping Rose has beautiful photography and the poetry is nice, smooth and deep. Great job!"

by lesliejones6544 -27 Jul 2008 I've read this book cover-to-cover and I really loved it. My favorite story was about Licorice. It was interesting, informative and hilariously funny. Barb has a great sense of humor. The thing I like most about Barb's memoirs is that in spite of having many hard knocks from life, she's always come out on the other side saying, "Well, I learned this from that experience and now I'm ready to move on." Barb gives credit to a Dale Carnegie course she took. I think it's more her personality and take on life that makes her so upbeat, not Dale Carnegie. This book is terrific. I hope Barb will write another book of memoirs when she's about 65 or 70. And another one when she's in her 90's or 100's.
by Laeia Jackson 13 Jul 2008 "Written with a reminiscent voice full of fondness that almost makes those who are too young to have experienced "The 60s and 70s" yearn for its simplicity."
by laura vargas 11 Jul 2008 "I previewed your book and it really made me smile. I love how you described the 60's & 70's. I was born in 1970 and it really brought back some great memories that I have. And the embarrasing stories, such as the toilet plunger, just made me laugh. A book like this could really brighten someones day."
