As work continues on Naked Mentalism II, it’s become apparent that there are two separate books here fighting for control. So, I’ve decided to split them out into two volumes.
Just as the original was subtitled “Stripped of Method”, so Naked Mentalism II will now be subtitled “Secrets of the Primes”...
Secrets of the Primes takes the idea of priming as introduced in the first section of Volume I and expands it into a complete book with lots of worked examples and ideas. This is everything I know about the use of priming in psychological forces, plus plenty more contributions from some highly experienced and skilled performers. There are literally dozens of new categories to explore, and plenty of supplementary tables showing deeper relationships between cues and targets.

The developing manuscript for "Secrets of the Primes" is already 98 pages long, and contains 67 new priming categories. It also contains a full write-up of a technique called a "pragmagram", used for developing priming-based, psychic-style effects. I first publicly described pragmagrams in my brief lecture to the British Society of Mystery Entertainers last October. The uses for priming contained within the manuscript are also expanding rapidly. By cross-referencing subject categories to find hidden connections, they're beginning to open up some very subtle yet compelling forces that feel like random thoughts.
