I am a writer and musicologist from the Blue Mountains, Australia. I have a real job too, but that's not important. In the mid to late 90s I was a music reviewer for On the Street and Loudmouth magazines. Currently I still fire off the occasional salvo at Pyromusic. I publish the metal fanzine LOUD! a couple of times a year. I have produced this zine since 1996 and in late 2006 released a 60-page 10 year anniversary edition.
. In 2006, I released the CD The Art of Shredding: A Tribute to Dime on my label DarkStar Records. The CD features 13 Aussie band paying tribute to the Dime. . I have been involved in community broadcasting since 1993, at first with BFM in south-west Sydney where I presented the late-night music program LOUD! until 2004. In 2004, I moved to BLU FM in the mountains. My metal show The Annex airs at 10pm every Friday. I am married to Xena and we have a daughter Jazynthe, two dogs and a black cat. We are expecting our second child in July 2008. I also have an older daughter Skye. . |
