It’s funny how the mind can know when the body wants to rise, and can set in motion a complex narrative in sufficient time to allow that eight-second gap. You try creating a virtual world, characters to inhabit it, stories for their lives to follow. Then encode it as an eight-second video file. Then press Play. Can you do that before you even know it? Eight seconds isn’t a lot of time. But then, when you don’t need time, it’s probably an eternity...

In 'Shards of a Forgotten Tomorrow', the depths of a dark city is the place where an ordinary woman gives birth to an angel. An angel of unimaginable power and influence. But will the child be the saviour of the human race, or the first sign of its ultimate destruction? Only one person really seems to know what is happening in the city, but no one seems prepared to listen to her cries and pleas for mercy and life? In 'The Six Million Dollar Brain', five characters are in search of an exit. For four of them, the plan is to make the exit as swift and painless as possible, taking with them a technological artifact of unimaginable value. For the fifth, the plan is to hold them back with all his might, stop their plan from coming to fruition. The only problem is, he had also planned to exit with his life.
