Cluster Symptoms snapshots the story of five friends and one newcomer, all of whom, try as they might, can’t manage to stay away from each other. Their niche is a basement lounge beneath an upscale hotel, which one of the five, Loden Tarek, owns. Loden carries a strangely empathetic life with his best friend, Maralie Frost, who has always felt things as Loden feels them, and seems to make miracles happen on a daily basis. Two pharmacists, Joe and Frank, are also bandmates and the self-inducted bodyguards of the group. After feeling like the fifth wheel for years, Peter, an ostracized hairdresser, decides to induct a new member to the group, Kevin Hannah. Kevin is recently ex-fraternity and finds the strange atmosphere of the basement lounge soothing, coming from a world where boys don’t wear makeup and girls don’t have names like ‘Prancer.’
