PROFILES: Angela and Sarah are collaborating on another book with a Spring 2009 release as a follow-up to the popular "In This House."
ANGELA CARTWRIGHT has been a photographer and artist for more than four decades. Her work is exhibited and collected internationally. Angela reinterprets her unique hand-painted photographic art with the use of acrylic, oil paints, inks, written word, and ephemera. She writes articles regularly for art magazines and her book "Mixed Emulsions - Altered Art Techniques for Photographic Imagery" was released last year. She curates A Studio Gallery, an exclusively black and white photography gallery in Studio City, California. acartwrightstudio.com SARAH FISHBURN is an internationally known collage artist. Her work is constantly evolving and has recently included both the use of photos taken in Africa and images and techniques appropriated from a modern urban tradition. Her art and writing appear in art magazines and a shelf full of books including True Colors, Alphabetica, Transparent Art, Beyond Paper Dolls, and the Complete Guide to Altered Imagery.
