Tomás Ó Cárthaigh's :Facebook Fanpage Poetry from Tomás One of my freinds on Facebook John Tiong Chunghoo posted the following post that inspired the following poem... "When I was in Hong Kong last year, the strangest sight was seeing a muslim man praying right outside a Chinese temple. And after his prayers, he walked right back to talk with his friend, a caretaker of the Chinese temple. I really wonder why I had to see this, because I never expected to see things of religious nature in Hong Kong. I supposed God is where the heart is. If our heart is not right, God wont be there" - - - oOo - - - On a street in Hong Kong a man he walked By where another stayed On a street facing a Chinese temple And the man, a Moslem prayed And in awe our he passed by As the Moslems prayers did end The Muslim walked back to the caretaker Of the temple, a Chinese man, his friend. And our walker pal he was full of wonder And he then did understand that God is where Ever the true open heart is If there's no love, no heart, God wont be there Name: Mr Tomás Ó Cárthaigh Location: 13 Church Street Tullamore Ireland Phone: +353 87 2972165 E-mail: thomascarty@cartyweb.ie Send this user a message. |
