The Language of Heaven Poetry of the Divine Volume 1 By: Chris Jacobs *Print Book* (Review Received 8/12/05) I've known Chris since '98 and he is quite the talent young feller! His father, also an author, is one of my best friends. So it was great to see him coming out with a book. This first attempt at authorship is great! I hope he has many more books in mind. I want them all on my books shelves. Chris is also an up and coming talent in the fine art field so we will probably be hearing about him in art soon. Get this book. You will love it!!!!! -John C. Thought Provoking and Moving A reviewer, read many spiritual books. (Review Received 07/29/2005) (For LOH1) This is a short book with very deep meanings. I read it several times and each time I enjoyed it. Mr. Jacobs has a great talent and I am looking forward to Volume II. -Unknown
The Language of Heaven: Poetry of the Divine Vol#1 by Chris Jacobs (Review Received 2/22/08) "The poetry contained within this book was inspired by heavenly aspirations and hellish thoughts alike. Both exist in the same vessel. Both are designed to teach. One how to be, one how not to be. Choose your path, but do so as one being. For it is fated...time…is…time. Love is endless." Quoted from The Language of Heaven Poetry of the Divine Vol. #1 Chris Jacobs is the author of The Language of Heaven: Poetry of the Divine Vol. #1. Within the few pages of this small novella you can peer into Mr. Jacobs’ heart and soul. His feelings are imprinted on the poetry as the words are imprinted on the pages. A couple of my very favorite poems are titled, The Brink of Human Despair and Eyes of Coal. The Brink of Human despair depicts our society right at this moment. We all see the dark side of things and know in our heart that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but the choice is ours and ours alone, do you choose the dark or the light? Eyes of Coal is beautifully dark. You may have one great friend or many in this world, but truly never know what they’re feeling inside. Looking into cold unyielding eyes, the friend you used to know seems to have faded away into something more dark and sinister. Has this ever happened to you? As always, I enjoy poetry, it is the expression that truly lets you see who a person is. Chris Jacobs is a fantastic poet, I wish there were more poems in Vol. #1 and some were a little too short, but lucky for me, I’ve already read Vol. #2 and let me tell you, you really want to read that one too! 4.5 Hearts Crystal Atkins, Book Reviewer and Reader
The Language of Heaven Poetry of the Divine Vol. II By: Chris Jacobs *Print Book* (Review Received 12/4/07) Delving Beauty, The Kiss, Temptress Shape-Shifter of the Isles, Beauty on the Shore, and For the Love of a Girl, are but a few poems in Chris Jacobs' book, The Language of Heaven: Poetry of the Divine Vol. II. My absolute favorites were entitled The Fall of Scotland, The Forbidden Love, and Resonating Beauty. I found myself in the pattern of loving the poems that were mostly about past lives or soul mates, they were breathtaking! Mr. Jacobs includes at the bottom of his poetry little comments stating why he wrote that particular poem, whether it be from a past life, soul mate, anger, or whatever emotion he may have been feeling at the time. These comments were key factors in learning and understanding the poetry better. It gave me a peek into the life of Chris Jacobs and the kind of person he is, and the kind of person he evolved into throughout this book. I found reading this very enjoyable while cuddled under a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate; a perfect read for a cold winter day. Mr. Jacobs definitely has a way with words, his feelings and emotions pour onto and out of the pages. Each piece of poetry was exquisite in its own way. The Language of Heaven is versatile enough that anyone could read it and find something that will relate with them or touch their heart all the same. Well done Mr. Jacobs, 5 Hearts.
