Eight women, eight points of view and eight styles of painting: Pieces of 8! When we set out to study the art techniques we most admired, it was decided we would employ the oldest proven method of learning: copying. And thus we began to dissect the lives and works of our favorite old master painters. The resulting works have hung in several gallery exhibits under the title of "Friends & Faux" and will also appear as a public education project in the county library. Several have been purchased by private collectors and others have found homes with the artist. To preserve the cohesiveness of the project this book, The Masters' Pieces, is now presented as a visual and literary guide to the amazing contributions made to art by those who came before us.
