Print: $16.99 Download: $4.99 Beginning as an online sci-fi serial in 2006, The Hannaria Series combines a multiple vantage point perspective and a television episode style in novel format.
Book 1, Out of the Gray, features two teenage narrators: Alex Verin, a 14-year-old son of a U.S. Congress Representative, is faced to choose between his family loyalties and moral conviction when he learns of a planned assassination attempt of an alien (Hannarian)ambassador named Jernard. Rica Miller, a 13-year-old Hannarian abandoned in a Baltimore shopping mall when she was a small child, and her adopted mother Rebecca meet Jernard on a transport under less-than-coincidental circumstances. The two sides of the story converge into a much bigger conspiracy than either teen realizes, and the results bring both Earth and Hannaria to the brink of war.

Print: $9.99 Download: $4.99 Of all the keys required to create a great fiction story, having solid characters is the most important. A writer can get everything else correct from a technical standpoint-—structure, plot, theme, and grammar-—but if readers do not care about a story's characters there is nothing to keep them from putting a book down and walking away. In this short book, I want to give you a framework that you can build upon and alter to suit your own style. I also wanted to provide a template writers can use again and again to create characters across different types of stories.
