Patricia Della-Piana is a spiritual poet, with over fifty years in the field. She is a practicing strega (Italian witch) and has been dedicated to the Goddess for more than forty years.
She has self-published The Goddess Book of Psalms, about which one reader commented, “it enriched my devotion and love for the Goddess manifold. A true treasure!” She is working on the production of a book of recipes she has used for sacrificial cakes and ale, as well as a new translation of Charles Godfrey Leland’s Aradia: Gospel of the Witches. As ‘Delia the Crone’, she was actively involved in the pre-internet craze of Bulletin Board Systems (BBS’s) world wide, and was one of several partners operating a short-lived pagan book store in Tampa, Florida, in the mid-1990's. Patricia writes every day, unless she’s undertaking a genealogy project. Her genealogical studies revealed an ancestor who was an Inquisitor, dignifying himself quite cruelly during the European Inquisition. Consequently, she feels the need to doubly glorify the Goddess in redress for his malevolence. She enjoys sewing, decorating, visiting her many grandchildren and her awesome children. She loves to entertain friends and will find any excuse to cast a circle or cook for them. ![]() Name: Patricia Della-Piana Location: South Carolina 29832 United States E-mail: Deliathecrone@yahoo.com Send this user a message. |

The following review of The Goddess Book of Psalms appeared in THE COSMIC CAULDRON, an online newsletter, this month:
If you are a Goddess Worshipper, Stregarian Witch, Dianic Wiccan or even a Gnostic, then this book is a must have. It deserves pride and a place on your bookshelf. Not only is it a magnificent book of poetry, but also can only be described as the gospel according to Delia. We have all read about the Christian assimilation of ancient paths, traditions and cultures; well this book turns the tables. It is the Great Mother; The Goddess assimilation of the Catholic and Christian Bible. A simplistic wandering through some beautiful prose painted with loving grace; a powerful praising of the Mother. Sophia would be proud. The Goddess Book of Psalms by Patricia Della Piana (Delia the Crone) can be previewed and purchased at Lulu and at Author's Den at: http://stores.lulu.com/deliathecrone http://authorsden.com/patriciadellapiana Also, from a Librarian in Bloomfield, NJ: "One of the few things I envy Jews and Christians is their use of the biblical psalms. Most pagan devotional stuff is, frankly, not as good. The Goddess Book of Psalms comes closer than anything else I've read to fill that gap. Some of it parallels the traditional psalms, some is very different, but it is wonderful. I finally have a pagan book for my bedside table that I will be able to use for years. Thank you, Patricia Della-Piana!" |
