● ABOUT ●
Operation
Elusive Concept is drawn by artist and photographer Chris Ashby, who lives with
her better half, three chubby cats, and a German Shepherd Dog in the United States.
The comic strip first saw the light of day in 2004, and
you can place the blame for its existence on her better
half as well as the staff of the Fort Eustis newspaper,
The Wheel.
In her spare time, Chris is interested in a wide variety
of stuff, such as snuggling with her cats, artwork,
website design, history, photography, shooting,
traveling, and reenacting / living history.
Actually, she spends most
of her free time either on the computer, at the range,
the book store, living history events or working with
her dog. Her dog, Abby, is a certified therapy dog.
Her guilty pleasures are chocolate, World War II items,
and computer gadgets, and she will gladly be bribed with
ANY of those as payment for commission work. |

The book features the first 100 comics in full color, along with several pages of extras - comics that didn't make it into the papers, and assorted doodles and humorous images.
The book includes an introduction by Private Murphy creator Mark Baker, as well as an informative review on the back cover, written by Antique White House creator Diana Sasse.
Each of the 100 comic strips is printed in full color and comes with a small blurb at the bottom containing information about the artwork, the joke, and general trivia.
If you are in the military or know someone who is, Operation Elusive Concept will make a nice addition to your (or their) book shelves and is sure to keep even non-soldiers snickering throughout.

Print: $10.99 Download: $5.00 Abby is a German Shepherd who was left at the pound by her first family. Passed over by adopters for younger or smaller dogs, Abby finally found her new home when Brian and Chris came to meet her and decided she was the dog for them.
