This group is open to all fanatics of the written word, especially those interested in poetry, science fiction, and fantasy.

We can do you poetry and fantasy without the science fiction, and poetry and science fiction without the fantasy, and all three concurrent or consecutive, but we can't do you fantasy and science fiction without the poetry. Poetry is compulsory - they're all poetry, you see.
-paraphrase of Tom Stoppard

Poetry is not for the faint of heart. Nor the faint of sex, faint of mind, or faint of guts.
-A.Boyle

This discussion and promotional group is not limited to those in a relationship with the fabulous indie publisher Fevvers Press.

Science-fiction in poetry - the classical muse is not left behind in our technological advances and demands of the future, though she may manifest a little differently. 47 pieces of free verse and structured poetry, telling stories of our human path: A cheating magician, a cryptic departure, programmable reproductions of long-dead literary giants, space exploration - the lover's cling of the past, the shock of a future not quite as predicted, and the curious nook of the present. "The multiplicity of Annie Boyle: she is a classicist, a romantic and a futurist all in one." - Matt DiGangi, editor, Thieves Jargon

This is a book. It is a book about poems. It is, likewise, a book of poems. But ultimately, it is a book against poems. For all of us who've struggled through cranial breakdowns due to the sick poetic fascination of our professors, for all of us who have been forced to read the classics of poetic "literature" and for all of us who just happened upon this form of writing and fell into its twisted vortex, never to be seen again--this is a book for us. I must warn you again, however, that this is a book of poems. It is a lone voice in enemy territory, crying out against the injustice of the poetry that is ever forced upon us.

Anthea returns to the Broken Crown with her companions. Her return spurs Corydon into new experiments, experiments he hopes will make a living compass to find Anthea with. Illias pushes Corydon's war ever further from the shores of Maethlin, even as Iago and the Elegian Empress Sanura begin to add their contributions to the conflict. Anthea's group, aided by some surprising allies, tries to raise a force great enough to attack Maethlin, Cenalium, and Corydon at his very home. Will flowers from the different lands of the Broken Crown be enough when Anthea's enemies are so insurmountable? When greater tests are given and the group splinters, each going their own ways, can they be joined again? Are the promises of the companions and the actions of the Gods enough to guide them through to the end?

Print: $29.70

William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825–1905) was a French academic painter. Bouguereau was a staunch traditionalist whose realistic genre paintings and mythological themes were modern interpretations of Classical subjects with a heavy emphasis on the female human body. Although he created an idealized world, his almost photo-realistic style was popular with rich art patrons. He was very famous in his time and was considered to be one of the greatest painters in the world by the Academic art community, and simultaneously he was reviled by the avant-garde. He also gained wide fame in Belgium, Holland, Spain, and in the United States, and commanded high prices. He epitomized taste and refinement, and a respect for tradition. In 1900, Degas and Monet reportedly named him as most likely to be remembered as the greatest 19th-century French painter by the year 2000. Bouguereau’s works were eagerly bought by American millionaires who considered him the most important French artist of that time.

He's a silent activist, unraveling the cruel ways of the world and opening everybody's eyes, but by the time the world is changed, or is too arrogant to change, a tragedy happens, and the silent activist is once more, silenced.

Though, I am not sure I am destined to go to Heaven or Hell. I understand that birth has never happened for me as one day I have opened my eyes, but I have not been born. I am living a past life in the current. I do not know what will happen to me when I pass on, maybe there will only be darkness to guide me, maybe I will see nothing. There is no Hell for me, I know; I live as a saint should. I resemble the image of innocence. I am holy.
