Corinne Elizabeth Cowherd was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada on March 24th. She began writing at a young age, but never really pursued it until 2003 when she published her first books. They were poetry books entitled Touchstone Sword and Touchstone Sword II using the pen name Orchid Wren Cone.
Corinne soon went on to write such books as The Adventures of Flame Gurl series (1st editions- 2003) which is about a great new superhero living in Canadaville and Unchain which is about one girl’s struggle to release her spiritual burdens. She also wrote another poetry book entitled Liberation where she encourages all of us to pursue our own spiritual liberation. She hopes to write more books in the future.
Growing up in a Christian household, Miss Cowherd became a born again Christian when she was just eleven years old. Her strong faith in Jesus Christ is shown through out her works and she prays that not only will you be entertained by them, but you’ll come to know Christ and be uplifted by them. Her favourite scriptures are Amos 8:11 and Psalm 81:7.

Once upon a time would be an easy way to begin telling the story of Flame Gurl. That is, if she were a fairy tale. There are no dwarves or gingerbread houses covered with candy in her story. Only frying pans and door hinge squeezed oranges. Although, dwarves and gingerbread houses may make their way into her story somehow…who knows??? Flame Gurl meets up with some pretty unusual characters along the way including Teeny of the Famous Teeny’s Diner, Canadaville’s resident superhero Frying Pan Gurl, and Super Villain Blu Jacket. And let’s not forget about the mysterious dark-haired man! So come meet Flame Gurl in the series that is full of twists and turns, with the Canadian sense of humour thrown in for fun. But be warned, you’re in for a Flametastic adventure of a lifetime!
