College is a place where many relationships begin. People meet; sometimes they become friends, some become mates, some build ties whether personal or business that will last their entire life. Two who met at college, became friends, now are authors continuing that college formed relationship on a personal as well as a business level.
Rachel Sparks grew up in South Carolina and Leslie Wells born and raised in Vermont met at college in South Carolina and became quick friends. They shared many of the same ideals – helping people, love of children and a desire to write.
Both are now single mothers. Rachel is raising and home schooling her teenage son. With a degree in Early Childhood education and one in social work, she brings those skills to the table to merge with Leslie’s own life skills and creativity. Leslie is raising two very active young boys and works as a PCA.
Teaming up, these ladies have combined their strengths and talents to write stories involving strong female characters, current social issues, a sprinkling of romance and powerful storylines.
On the 2007 Preditors and Editors Readers Poll “Factor Of Love” ranked 14 out of 201 romance novels.
Rachel and Leslie have appeared on WGGS-TV 16 Dove Broadcasting in November of 2006.
Also in March 2008 Rachel and Leslie appeared on Your Carolina WSPA-TV 7.
