I grew up with animals, all kinds of animals! I have always had a love of animals and of writing, and have always enjoyed sharing my passions. I raised Arabian horses for years and did many years of horse rescue. During that time I got involved with the Africian Pygmy Hedgehog and became a breeder/owner and a judge - yes a hedgehog judge! I founded the International Hedgehog Registry so there would be a depository for information about these animals in captivity - and I began a newsletter. In 1998 I was introduced to the Chinese Crested Dog and fell in love. Having allergies, this was a wonderful breed for me. With my passion for writing, love of layout and art and a newly percieved need for information about hairless dog breeds - The World was born. My dog club newsletters were getting longer and longer and more elaborate and it was time to launch a real magazine. Being in the online age drew me to make sure there was a way for everyone to get the magazine as soon as it's done - hot off the presses! With the help of Stacy Day (Bark Softly) I got involved with Lulu not long after I published the first issue and upload each and every issue.
