2008 May 01 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Los Angeles, C.A. – April 24, 2008 Maura Knight (pseudonym) began writing her novel, FEED, in 2005 while sucking in the moldy air of a dingy motel while she was working her way through her first gig as a lowly paid reality show Production Assistant. On location and working as a local to gain experience, Knight kept herself sane with her early morning writing sessions of FEED, as she fictionalized the salacious goings on of behind the scenes reality television. After moving up the production ladder fast, Knight had to set aside her novel as she soon found herself producing reality television for one of the biggest minority production companies in Hollywood...and then she was promptly fired AND blacklisted. (we won't tell you why...it's in the book) Falling into the first restaurant that would hire her, Maura began her career as a waitress all over again. She began blogging in her spare time and after her online audience (Myspace) started mentioning that she should make her story into a novel, Maura decided to sit down and finish the book, which takes a fictitious turn of events for our heroine. FEED fits right into this ever-changing landscape of our online/media- steeped consciousness. Told from an unflinchingly candid narrative about the state of the world, media, politics and sex, Maura’s voice demands to be heard and just like her audience who feels empowered to make a change, by any means necessary, it will be. Please check out the Heroine Publications' Storefront to download or order your copy today! Please review and let us know what you think! To be continued... Next time...
