2005 Jun 21 I just finished adding 7 new mazes and redoing the layout. I hope you like what you see.
2005 Apr 11 After many weeks of research I have come to post my work on LULU. It took quite a while to scan my work in so that it could be uploaded but I am done with the first part. I will be adding new work as I create it so check back.
My earlier work was done in a 11" x 14" format or larger, if you have interest in these pieces and have the ability to print them let me know. If there is enough interest I will put them on the site, many of these works were drawn in color.

1985 A.D.
(After Divorce)
These mazes came about after a trip to Italy. Having been separated from my first wife for about nine months, and divorced for two months, I decided it was time to travel and see the world.
I proceeded to Roma, Firenze and then on to Paris. During the course of my travels I met a lovely young lady from Belgium who was teaching French in an Italian secondary school. I found that although doomed because of distance, it is still possible to become enamored after the trauma of divorce.
After returning from the trip refreshed and ready to get on with my life, I promptly fell and sprained my ankle so severely that I couldn't walk for six weeks. After reading about forty books, watching almost every show on television and putting my thoughts from that period on paper, I began to draw mazes as a way of expressing my feelings.
Drawing mazes was not new to me, although it had been about fifteen years since I had last drawn one. But the time was right, and I was finding that I wasn't able to express my feeling and emotions to my satisfaction with the writing I was doing, so "Heart to Heart Mazes" came to be with the object being to find the path between the two Hearts in each maze. As in most love relationships there are twists, wrong turns, and frustration. Yet in the end as one Heart finds the other, there comes satisfaction.
A hint: to help you make it through the mazes I suggest that they be done with a variety of colored pencils. Each time a dead end is reached, return to the beginning and restart with a new color and at the end you will have made your own unique and colorful picture.
