My name is Christine B., as known as HumeurNoire. I'm a French artist, photographer and writer. HumeurNoire's Shop is my art storefront on line.
I take my inspiration from romanticism, fantastique, fantasy, gothic art, but also modern art, and many other things !

* Romantique and dark :

Romantic and dark art.
I take my inspiration from art and literature of the 19th century, in particular romanticism, with themes like escapism, nostalgia, exaltation of "me", death, melancholia, fantastic... Some artists and writers who inspired me (even if they aren't all romantic) : Rimbaud, Camille Claudel, Delacroix, Emily Bronte, Friedrich...
* CATHARSIS : November 20th 2007 - now.
Abstract and conceptual art.
I work without thinking. No projects, no sketches. I don't think about ideas of performance, of aesthetic, technique or results. It's only painting to free me, to express pure impulse. I work with my subjectivity, my emotions. A period of liberation and evolution in my artwork. A cathartic experience.

Illustrations of my fantasy story, Les Mémoires du Ponant, in English Memoirs/Memories of Ponant. Etc.
I have several projects : I’m thinking of making portfolio and book of my artworks. I also want to publish my writings : romantic and fantastique poems and short stories, and my fantasy novel Les Mémoires du Ponant. I plan to make an illustrated story for children too.
