Millennium for orchestra.
Millennium unfolds powerfully with large scale orchestral announcements. Themes rarely have a chance to develop before new avenues appear and redirect the work to other notational tangents. However, there is one recurring opening theme which appears sporadically throughout the work as ghostly variants. Although Millennium navigates many directions, it travels smoothly on it's fluidic transitional material. During the journey, musical reflections mirror many well traveled paths of regret and promise. The finale, or last breaths by the string section, ends the melodic trek and breathes a sigh of relief while finally at rest.

Vespertine for orchestra.
Vespertine's backdrop sets the stage for nature's ongoing and often hidden nightly performances. Each act eventually lifts, sustains, and drops to drape each chapter closed. These orchestral swells and crescendos help to create dramatic impact and assist in the work's transitions and focus. Once calm,Vespertine can concentrate on smaller and simplistic events. While caught by it's own active imagination and nature's mysterious design,Vespertine is a quick romantic sketch of a true intrinsic masterpiece.

Canopy for orchestra.
"The life of an oddity".
Clowns, aerial acts, animals of all sorts, and the brave tight rope walkers please the crowd. But Canopy broadens to include the allusive inspiration of the star misfits and nature's misunderstood. The music considers the circus from the inside out as the performer rather than the spectator. Centered on the drudgeries of self image and acceptance, it transcends the canopy to mock it's pretentious motives to enclose. Canopy has captured the real "soul" of the circus; a family that understands and encourages it's own.

Marionette for orchestra.
Marionette showcases the importance of one who is willing to achieve by maneuvering in tandem with another. With guidance as the key theme, the musical banter narrates the story. The jittery notated passages and tumbling cadences gesture at the clumsy aspirations of the inexperienced marionette. The more fused and consonant themes portray the successful synchronization of Master and student. Under the allusion of secrecy, the marionette desperately attempts to mimic it's Master's untangled promptings - but fails. However, with time the strings are replaced by trust which leads to a greater unison of purpose and a crowd pleasing performance.

Monarch for orchestra.
Monarch opens distinctively with authority and quickly becomes interspersed with threads of quiet contemplation. It's history is woven between contrasting branches of material which depict the life of leadership and the affect on those who choose to follow. A true Monarch divinely appointed should have as much complexity of heart as this work attempts to convey thematically.
