Hi. I'm Janice. I like to write things.

Other than constantly tapping out symbols that will eventually create words on my typewriter/Macbook Pro (depending on availability of electricity), I enjoy meditation, music, and the combination of the two. I also like ferns, cats, and people. They're really neat.

I read a lot. I also like to be loud, and dance, and sing.

I used to write independent plays that no one performed, so I switched over to writing screenplays for some of my film-making friends in Portland, OR. Some of my past projects include Easy/Lucky/Free and Letters To Alex. I take a lot of notes. I always have some sort of pen and paper in my hands...I use a lot of composition books...I also record little tapes of people's conversations, and unusual sounds, and sometimes the news.

Now I'm writing books. Voice. is my first one (just released the second edition in paperback!) and I'm working on one right now called Canvas. I don't write books like normal people write books.
