We believe that we can offer a superior service, at a fraction of the cost of traditional publishing. We achieve this through the use of the latest technologies in printing and distribution.
We know that the barriers erected by the high cost of traditional publishing are preventing many voices from being heard.
We offer a service to authors that allows them to publish their work without having to speculate about it's commercial viability. In fact we are proud of the fact that we are able to publish works that are important both historically and in terms of the voice of the ordinary person. These works may never have been available because of the perception that only items with mass appeal are commercially viable.

Print: $23.88 Ivor Little joined the South African Nautical College “General Botha”, which lead to a life at sea involving many demanding experiences. He worked hard and qualified as a Master Mariner at the age of 24 – a record at the time!
Thereafter some years of hard work contributed to the land-based years of his professional life, unrelated to those of a Master Mariner.
All of his activities were as the book’s title indicates, “Above Board”, though some years were made very difficult being “Under Cover” in a foreign country, described in his detailed manner. Later he served the South African Defence Force during its period of transition to its new organization.
He was then posted to the newly created Defence Secretariat, where he worked at top level until he decided to leave his desk.
The sea then called once more and the book takes us again on many and various vessels, from Tristan da Cunha to the Mediterranean.
Taken from the Foreword by Lieutenant General J R Dutton, SSAS, SD, SM, MMM.

This book is about a comprehensive RHODESIAN ROLL OF HONOUR † 1965 to 1980 † It is but one of the many that lay claim to being the most up to date list yet published. It may not be complete but it is not the content that matters, but more so those brave souls who gave their lives so that we may live. The input of Dr JRT Wood, pre-eminent expert in Rhodesian history, is greatly valued. The writer also acknowledges the profound words spoken by Rick van Malsen, who said:“Thank you” – is not enough

Arriving in Johannesburg in 1902, when women’s place was in the home, she chalked up an amazing list of achievements.
Against the backdrop of early industrial conflict, she became South Africa’s first trade union organizer, a rabble-rousing orator, and a strike leader and leader of women’s commandos, viewed by the authorities as an agitator.
Fiery and fearless, she stood up to Minister of Mines Jan Smuts, the police, local and British troops, and scabs alike.

Print: $18.46 Matthew, born with a dark skin into a white family struggles to find some foothold within a society that was rapidly becoming polarised. Together with his family he encounters the divisive intrusion of racial classification. He finds his world divided without a point of reference for his own questionable Apartheid’s identity.
Matthew’s life is irrevocably altered, when in 1948, the Nationalist government decided to begin the process of separating out different race groups based on their racial heritage.
Matthew’s story uncovers a new perspective of the mostly forgotten Other and unseen effects of separate development. When we consider the scale of the suffering imposed by apartheid, we are tempted to consider numbers as the determining factor as to the worth of consideration. This story reveals the broader and mostly hidden extent of the effects of racial segregation.

Print: $21.92 While Derby’s Osmaston Triangle came into existence in the early 1930s, it did not acquire its name until around thirty years later.
The author explains what everyday life was like for him growing up there, part of which was the five years of World War II.
After the war the boundaries of The Triangle were partially breached when he passed the scholarship that took him to the Central Grammar School at Darley Park. Pupils attending there were known as Centaurs, which explains half of the book’s title. Also described are the simple pleasures of walking in Derbyshire, long before the motor car spoiled so much. (A mention is also made of the noble art of train spotting, otherwise ‘gricing’.) This account ends with the author leaving school to take up the task of earning a living.
While nothing exceptional, what is depicted is a way of life that has slipped beyond recall, living only in the diverse memories of many.

Print: $29.12 During the early phases of the Anglo-South African War, 1899-1900, members of the Rhodesia Regiment under the Command of Lt-Colonel H.C.O. Plumer, saw action in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and along the eastern border of the Bechuanaland Protectorate (Botswana). They were instrumental in holding back substantial numbers of Boer forces which otherwise might have fought n the Natal and Cape Fronts. They were also in on the “Relief of Mafeking”. This book investigates the Rhodesia Regiment and seeks to correct some previous errors. A central theme is the current relocation of their otherwise forgotten battles and graves at Fort Tuli, Rhodes’ Drift, Mochudi, Gaborone, Lobatse and Ramathlabama. There is also mention of the role of the Rhodesian Field Force (consisting of Australian and New Zealand “Bushmen”, as well as members of the Imperial Yeomanry) as well as the often forgotten African participants; Kgosi Khama’s BaMangwato and Kgosi Linchwe’s BaKgatla.

Print: $12.64 Gameranger was the Senior Game Ranger on a large game reserve in Africa. Gameranger, or more often ‘Gamey’, was not his real name: it was the name by which his great friend and companion, Little Buck, used to call him.
Little Buck was a young Impala buck that Gamey had found in the bush after poachers had shot and killed its mother. Then Little Buck had been only four days old. Gamey had taken Little Buck home, and bottle-fed and reared him until he was big enough to go back into the bush and fend for himself.
However their friendship was so strong that, even though he was free, Little Buck never went far from wherever Gamey was. The other animals understood this, and used to get messages to Gamey by telling them to Little Buck.
A collection of delightful stories suitable for children aged three to seven.
