The Man Who Recreated Himself
Appealing to Conspiracy Theorists and lovers of Political scandal, this is the story of the strange world of The Next Step, a cultish society following the ideas of James Brennan, called, by some, a modern Messiah. The Cult is targeted by spooks leading up to a jet crash, which threatens to topple the Government. Growing up a normal kid on a housing estate in rural Buckinghamshire, there is nothing to mark James Brennan out. But a moment or revelation leads him to make a profound announcement at College. His friends and enemies include an Archbishop, a Critic, several senior Civil Servants and spooks, a society enfant terrible in the shape of Raven-haired daughter of a General, Melody Nicola-Darr. Indeed, the very compass of populace affected by his thoughts, are what the Government fears the most and sets of a chain of events, leading to the Trial of the Century which threatens the very fabric of Society.
