Print: $22.46 Download: $3.00 It may not be obvious why someone like myself would write my memoir. I am not a famous person. I am not a professional athlete. I am not a politician. I am not even known in my local area of North Carolina. I do not fit into any of these typical categories of autobiographical writers. However, as in most people, I have a story to tell that is unique from many and common to some. We all have stories that people can relate to and sympathize with, if only we just tell them. I find a great relief when I learn that others have survived similar struggles that I am going through. I am living proof that it is possible to live through many things and come out the other side a better person...

Print: $14.99 Download: $1.25 Based on the true story of a London schoolteacher who, after a failed relationship and tired of the rat race, seeks escape and the chance to make a difference in the developing world. Sent to Zambia by Voluntary Service Overseas with a remit to teach maths, HIV/AIDS and Gender Equality education, he ends up in a rural setting trying to cope with culture shock, loneliness and a challenging physical environment. Whilst battling stomach bugs, snakes and unco-operative colleagues, he finds both hope in unusual places, and corruption where he least expects.
This memoir is both a recollection of his more vivid memories of eastern province, and also his reflections on the problems in Zambia and their possible causes. It also a useful study of the physical and psychological challenges that a volunteer may face in Africa.

Print: $14.95 Download: $5.00 This book is my personal memoir of learning to accept my new injured self as I figure out the best way to manage life with a Traumatic Brain Injury.
It starts like this: While driving west on Interstate 80 for my senior year at Brigham Young University, my car tumbled five times into the median. I was unconscious on impact, and I don't remember any part of the accident. My next clear memory is waking up on a hospital bed more than two months later, wondering where I was and why I had a metal Halo Brace drilled into my skull.
My family explained I'd fractured my neck, both femurs, and severely injured my brain in a car accident on my way back to college.
"I'm in college?" I asked. And the rediscovery of myself began.

Print: $19.77 Download: $14.99 A young girl, living in rural Missouri in the 50's and 60's, receives spiritual gifts from oddball family members which she will need when she becomes the parent of a child with autism. A grandfather with a strong Native American relationship to the earth and all living things teaches about selfless love while his sassy mouthed and practical wife shows the value of small things and persistence. While an aunt decides late in life to become a hippy and a bit of a witch, there is a cousin who has no time for people who will not follow any adventure which comes their way. The mother spends a lot of time being nearly to shy to be alive while other family members delight in teasing her. The characters romp through tragedy and joy to the rhythm of small town life with a background of the ancient Mississippi river. The lessons taught take meaning when, in adulthood, the granddaughter has a child of her own. The fact that the child develops autism only gives the lessons deeper meaning.

Print: $16.50 Download: $2.00 Minus the Imple is a fictionalized true story about one man's quest to find the answers to the phenomena that punctuate his experiences throughout his life. It's a story about love and loss, faith and humanity. Does the human soul really exist, or is it merely a reassuring notion most people fully accept as real?
Why do we believe in some things we have never seen, and yet we refuse to accept other notions that can't be ruled impossible?
Faith is a curious thing. We will believe what we will. Minus the Imple will make you think as you review unexplainable episodes from your own past. All you have to do is be willing to open your mind and believe in something you can't see.
It's simple, really...

Print: $13.56 Download: $3.99 The book follows Brian’s career throughout his postings both in the UK, and overseas. Despite being someone who joined, not knowing too much about the trade he signed up for, he somehow fooled several people into promoting him a few times and eventually found himself attached to the elite RAF Special Forces Flight, serving with them during the Gulf War.
It is an honest memoir, reflecting upon both the highs, and the lows, of serving in the RAF during the 1980s and early 1990s. The book is both funny and poignant, and leads the reader through this amusing, realistic, adventure called life.

Print: $17.95 Download: $8.95 This personal memoir, tracks a two year journey recounting the ever increasing cases of financial abuse amongst our seniors and elderly. It is the most common form of elder abuse, but also the most unreported form of crime. After learning of the betrayal of a trusted employee, the truth is uncovered, revealing seniors who were fraudulently abused in their own homes. The stories reflect the vulnerability of our loved ones who placed their trust in their caregivers. Their worst fears became a reality, with many never even realizing it was happening to them. These crimes happen in our society, more than we want to acknowledge or admit. In many cases those who prey upon the elderly go unpunished, and easily move on to their next victim.
