Print: $16.95 The Saline Valley is a remote and beautiful part of Death Valley National Park. The primitive roads and utter lack of services make it one of the least visited parts of the park. I strongly recommend 4-wheel-drive, high-clearance vehicles to get there. We get a flat tire on nearly every trip. The Saline Valley is bounded on the west by the Inyo Mountains with peaks reaching over 11,000 feet. The bottom of the valley floor is at an elevation two miles below the peaks of the Inyos. The lowest pass out of the valley is nearly 4,000 feet higher than the almost dry lakebed.

Print: $16.95 A dozen photographs of the Moon illustrating its changing face as it revolves around the Earth. Two photos were exposed to reveal the dark side of the Moon illuminated by sunlight reflected from the Earth. A multiple-exposure of the totally eclipsed Moon taken on October 27, 2004 shows the Moon moving through the shadow of the Earth. A second multiple exposure shows a total lunar eclipse on August 28, 2007. Exposures were made every four minutes as the Earth's rotation carried the Moon across the field of view. The date of each New Moon, First Quarter Moon, Full Moon, and Last Quarter Moon is noted on the calendar.

Print: $16.95 The Spruce Goose floated out of its hangar into Los Angeles Harbor on October 29, 1980. It was the only time that the Spruce Goose was in the water since the days of its flight in 1947. It took two days to pick it up with Herman the German and place it on land for temporary storage. On February 10, 1982, it was lifted onto a barge for transportation to the geodesic dome where it was displayed to the public for eleven years. These twelve photos document the process from the emergence of the Flying Boat from its hangar to its installation in the dome.
