French Farm bird, taken near Bolougne. There was hardly any light so this picture is a rebalancing of the colours. I think it's eye is the important feature.

Taken in late afternoon approaching winter time, just after the rains. Colurs adjusted to enhance the gloomy nature of the time. You can see the river Thames in the foreground as it passes through the city of Oxford.

This was taken in March 2006 on a visit to the reed islands in the middle of Lake Titikaka Peru. These are people who live on these islands. They are preparing breakfast.

I was struck by the disparity here in the method of transport and what he is transporting. It is also amazing to think of the weight he is carrying up hill at an altitude of 7,000 feet! This was taken at Shimla a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of the erstwhile British Raj in India.
