A Templar master and a secret to be guarded. A Pope dominated by a king. These are the characters that compose the history of this novel. The story is set in France on 1300, when a Pope is elected on willing of the king. The facts will be outlined as they will go by, showing the intrigue plotted by the sovereign towards the Templar order of chivalry. By the help of his advisers, men without scruples, he will build every moment of the persecution. All seems dictated by the avidity and by the cupidity of King Philip, but this is not enough to justify the fury of this last one. Other determined strengths participate in this bloodthirsty game without revealing themselves, following darker intentions; they look for the attainment of their purpose with every means. Intrigues, wars, tortures and a love story are mixed making the novel a fascinating story of faith, courage and honour.

Author's note. Many years ago, reading a book, he discovered a fantastic legend. Incredulous, but attracted by what he had read, he decided to go to France and visit those places where the story was set. Fascinated by those places, he breathed the intense mystery atmosphere that constantly fluttered over those lands. He decided to write his first novel. His intuition made him imagine that the history that we learn not always tells the facts entirely, maybe because they seem only magnified by popular fantasy and therefore insignificant, or they could be intentionally omitted by who would have the obligation to tell the truth, obeying to a precise dark plan. Who would need to keep humanity in the ignorance to? Does it maybe the shade of such “hidden government of the world” really exist? Or are there two governments, "the good and the evil" that have been facing each other for centuries in a merciless struggle for the possession of our poor souls? It's difficult to give an answer to these questions. If it was really so, it could be dangerous discovering how things stand. Truth is the entity that can lie, buried by the dust of the centuries, smothered and imprisoned in the oblivion, waiting for the hand that brings it to the light. It could become the tornado able to sweep its jailers away. Marco Fosso has an idea, based on facts really happened that he imagined to have lived, in another life, many centuries ago.
