Through the years I have become increasingly concerned about the direction of today’s teaching on the Gospel or especially the teaching on how to be saved. We have continued through the years to make being saved more socially acceptable. We seemed to have lost sight of where we came from as mankind and, with it the why it was necessary for the coming of Jesus to die on the cross! Before man is redeemed, he functions from the intent of the flesh, or Biblically the old man as the spirit of man is dead. (Eph. 2:1, 2) The Bible teaches that Satan is the Lord of the dead while Christ is the Lord of the living.
