UPDATED: 3/8/08 Welcome to my storefront. I HAVE MANY TITLES THAT CAN BE PURCHASED FROM MY WEBSITE OR EBAY- For full descriptions of all the books I publish and large, clear sample pages of each book AND tons of other stuff for learning Ecclesiastical Latin, please go to www.churchlatin.com.
Join the LATIN NERD WARRIORS to receive monthly updates. I am dedicated to putting back into print important and valuable historic Catholic works. From bible translations that have went out of print to a whole series of books for studying the Vulgate, you will find it here. I am trying to fill a void in the "market". There are very few books in print that deal with Ecclesiastical Latin. My aim is to publish books dealing with study of Vulgate and the Latin language as used in the Catholic Church for centuries. You may notice that my publications do not have fancy artwork or pictures on the covers. I do not have the time or expertise to create such things. My books are "meat and potatoes". The content being far more valuable and important than their appearance.

Download: $20.00 This is a download of a digital facsimilie of the complete original Douay Rheims Bible. The New Testament was first printed in 1582 AD and the Old Testament in 1609 AD. The Old Testament edition of this download was printed in 1635 AD. This is not the "Challoner Revision" of the Douay Rheims. This edition contains over 2800 pages of biblical text, notes, and annotations. This pdf is fully readable using Adobe Reader (available free on the internet). The text quality is pretty good, considering the scans were created from a "copy of a copy". There are a few scattered places where the text is very difficult to read, but the majority of the text is very readable especially the biblical text itself, which is in a larger font than the notes and annotations. One bonus of this download is that it is fully bookmarked. Every chapter of every book is instantly accessible from Adobe's bookmark system.

Hardcover Print: $49.06 This work is a facsimile reproduction of the original Douay Old Testament 1635 AD. It is a precisely accurate translation of the Latin Vulgate into English filled with valuable notes and annotations. As I have explained on the back cover, this reproduction was created from scans of previously done facsimile. This edition was not created from originals, so some of the small type is difficult to read. This applies to the notes and annotations. The biblical text itself is in a larger font and is very clear. I was reluctant to provide a preview of this book because for some reason, the preview is not representative of the clarity of this facsimile. The review is very fuzzy and broken up. Nonetheless, I provided the review so someone who has never feasted their eyes on this historical translation, can at least see what it is laid out like.

Print: $11.97 I have published here 3 chapters from Fr. Hugh Pope's book "English Verions of the Bible" The 3 chapters I chose specifically treat the 1582 AD Rheims New Testament and the 1610 AD or 1635 AD Douay Old Testament. I know that anyone interested in the original Douay Rheims will find this book informative and edifying.
Note- For some reason, the preview of this book that lulu provides displays the text as somewhat unclear and fuzzy. This is not the case with the printed version. The text is clear and sharp on the printed page.
