Using science fiction as a vehicle for exploring supernatural phenomena, the universe and contemporary American culture, Michael Casher opens a new window on the everyday world and offers a unique vision of the cosmos.
The "Science Fiction for Thinkers" series is a new genre of sci-fi that contains hard science fiction and some elements of fantasy but it reads like mainstream. This collection of thrillers is especially geared toward intelligent readers seeking truth in a world filled with lies and danger.
Michael Casher has successfully combined science fiction, mainstream and action/adventure to present emerging and speculative technology, extraterrestrial influences and threats, comic relief and even a little romance. Plus in-depth character development, intricate plots and compelling story lines. Explore the wonders of the universe and life's biggest mysteries. Take the roller coaster ride and pursue the true nature of life, time & space and death.
Your world may never look the same.

2008 Sep 02 Four of my novels are now in the Published by Lulu distribution service and, hopefully, they'll soon be available at Amazon.com and, hopefully again, available at some bricks-and mortar-bookstores in the not-too-distant future. These are the books on my Lulu Storefront that have the highest price tags.
Two more books to go. Re-building a book for Published by Lulu is no easy feat and it's very time consuming. There are a lot details to consider that I never had to consider before. The fifth book, The Dreamer Never Sleeps, will be ready for the new distribution service by mid-September, possibly earlier. This was actually my fourth novel but it's fifth in line for the upgrade to Published by Lulu.
Then, one more book to prepare for Published by Lulu and I'm out of the publishing business. For good, I hope. My seventh novel, a book-in-progress entitled, Blind Fool Running, has suffered severely because of all the publishing work I've been doing since this past Spring. It's almost half-way written but that makes it way off schedule. I planned on completing it by the end of 2007 but I'll be lucky too finish it by the end of 2008.
However, Blind Fool Running will not be published the same way my first six books were. I'm simply worn out from wearing several hats at once for the past six years (that of author, editor, publisher and publicist). It's time for a permanent career change for me, once again. I no longer want to be a self-publisher. Just a writer and a published author.
More updates will follow.
2008 Aug 12 Lulu has fixed my storefront problem. Evermore: the Evermore Trilogy begins is now showing once again and the details page for this book is not missing any information. The description, price, Add to Cart button and preview are back in place. Thank you, Lulu Live Help and Lulu Distribution Services for all your help and your speedy fix-it job.
2008 Aug 05 He's 56 years old, just as old as me, but he's not me. Fred Fortune is a social outcast, an interplanetary misfit and an intergalactic felon on the lam. Fred Fortune is the Earthling you never want to become. Fred Fortune is my newest blog and — my, oh, my — my eighth blog, counting this one. Somebody help me, I can't stop blogging. If this was 1977, the Bee Gees could do a song about it called, "Can't Stop Blogging." Yep, Fred's arrived in Cyberland. Here's the link: You were warned. So, don't blame me when your future loyalties are misplaced.
2008 Jul 11 This summer I'm working hard at getting the Evermore Trilogy ready for "Published by Lulu" distribution. I need to get on the big distribution list that bookstores use to line their bookshelves.
Updates will follow.
2008 Jun 01 After four years on the World Wide Web I decided my official website at Science Fiction for Thinkers needed an official banner. After all, my T-shirt store has one now. So, I designed an official website banner and here it is. Of course, when I placed it on my website which already has a black background, it doesn't stand out as a banner. It actually blends in and looks cooler. So, what took me so long?
2008 May 27 I have a new online clothing store as a shop partner with Shirt City out of Atlanta. It's called T-Shirts for Thinkers and currently offers 72 monochrome items bearing the Science Fiction for Thinkers dot com logo or text. There is link to this store on the NavBar of my official website at Science Fiction for Thinkers. The link is called Fanware. There is also an image link from the Links area of the NavBar. Here is the official banner of T-Shirts for Thinkers

2008 Mar 12 The final version of Time and Time Again, my second novel, is now available at Lulu.
2008 Mar 10 The final version of Evermore, my first novel, is now available at Lulu.
2008 Feb 18 Much like the character in The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, one day I woke up completely transformed. But, instead of becoming a cockroach, I had actually become the thing that I have dreaded all my life. The inner me was now a flesh-and-blood reality, only most of me was green. That's right, I am now the Little Green Man from Mars. How long this condition will last is a mystery I may never fathom. But, since the die has already been cast, I figured there's no use wasting such a unique opportunity as this. So, I did what any other freak of nature would do. I decided to write a blog. I called it Little Green Man from Mars. What else?

Print: $22.50 As the Evermore Trilogy begins, Jack Rand is a thirty-year-old nobody until he meets Unim, a biped plant from the planet Zeta6. It’s a textbook alien abduction that suddenly goes awry when Unim's mutiny aboard the starship, Luminer, changes everything. Overnight, Jack’s hometown of Evermore, Pennsylvania, becomes the staging ground for retaking the starship, a scientific craft commissioned by the rulers of Zaroz, Zeta6 and Hool. Its mission: to create artificial human beings from the thoughts of Earthlings. The battle for control of Luminer is a high-stakes contest to see which side can capture the hearts and minds of five unwitting Earthlings. Commander Zhorin will stop at nothing to complete his mission. Caught in the middle are two artificially-created human sisters who seek revenge against those who are responsible for creating their fatally-flawed bodies. In the balance, lies the fate of planet Earth and the entire Milky Way Galaxy.

It’s seven years later and Unim suddenly appears on Earth, snatched from a wormhole during a routine cargo mission between Hool and Zaroz by an evil time travel project on Earth. When Jack agrees to help the Uli find his Hooligan friend, who is lost somewhere in time, he doesn’t know what he’s let himself in for. It’s Spy vs. Spy as things get so out of hand in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Plateau that even the New York mob gets involved. The alterable future of planet Earth is now in the hands of Jack Rand, Unim and an Air Force Colonel from the past with special ties to an underground alien presence that has been tinkering with Earth’s population and its destiny since the days of Roswell. Time and Time Again is an eye-opening, mind-blowing excursion into the timeless mysteries of a boundless Universe where the future is up for grabs and the past never dies.

Verona Petrov was once Earth’s first ambassador to the planet Zaroz but now she is a brilliant scientist and teacher at Foxboro University in Pennsylvania and she's determined to prove that the dead live on after their first-time experience on Earth. Her belief in afterlife planets has garnered her a prestigious and controversial reputation as well as a hefty grant to conduct her research. But it also put a price on her head from certain people who feel she's a threat to business-as-usual and a cherished way of life on Earth. When the bullets start flying and the proverbial hits the fan, Jack and Unim are caught in the crossfire.

Print: $15.99 Michael Casher’s fourth novel explores the possibility that a dreamworld might really exist, somewhere in the vast cosmos, a place where life’s problems are sorted out and lessons are learned, a place where things get done that aren’t getting done during the waking hours. For Russell Palmer, a work-at-home medical claims examiner, the dreamworld is a frightening place that often presents him with a nightmarish version of his own bewildered life. But when Bobby Mulligan, a senior citizen dreamer from another world, unexpectedly enters Palmer’s life and the lives of two other Earthlings, an upside-down and inside-out world suddenly presents itself in all its mystical, magical glory. It turns out to be a very real world, the exciting realm of why not and a place of infinite possibilities. Palmer learns that a wealth of unearthly experience awaits everyone, a treasure chest that can only be unlocked by letting go of one’s predictable past and embracing the unknown future.

Print: $14.99 Michael Casher’s fifth novel ventures into the unseen realm of manipulative beings who help shape Earth’s history for an unnamed higher power. When Harlan Trotter, an unemployed factory worker, is charged with the murder of his former best friend -- a crime he would never commit -- he seriously doubts if life is always what you make of it. His suspicions are aroused when things quickly go from bad to worse without any effort on his part and his eyes are soon opened to the fact that a lot of his bad luck is someone else’s doing. But whose? In the ensuing battle between the guardians of fate and the human will, he discovers exactly who and what are the true masters of human destiny. With the help of Belle Summer, the beautiful but eccentric Deputy Coroner who believes in his innocence, Trotter’s life is transformed from that of prey into predator as he and Belle search together for answers and hunt down the elusive denizens of Earth’s invisible underworld.

Print: $19.95 Michael Casher’s sixth novel is a sci-fi treatment of the Antichrist and Rapture prophecies. Dwight Tinker is a humble, unemployed man whose luck has run out. When his best friend offers him a menial job, suddenly there are others who need Dwight for a more important job: to give the world a sign and save planet Earth in the biblical Latter Days. Dwight must soon decide if he is the right man for the job and if the new woman in his life is really from the afterlife. He must also search his own conscience for a reason to fight or to help the mythical Illuminati who have a desperate stake in the prophesied Rapture. As Dwight Tinker endures the abrasive personality of the alien man sent to Earth to protect him during his mission, the eyes of Providence are watching and judging. In this deadly, end-of-days struggle the stakes are nothing less than the destiny of those who will be rescued from a troubled Earth and those who will be left behind.
