Chapter Contents:
Chapter 1 is the introduction. It deals with the rationale of the book and in particular with the reliability of the particular sources used. Chapters 2 and 3 are concerned with the Ark of the Covenant, its history and its most important contents. Aaron’s Rod is discussed in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 deals with the Chalice of the Last Supper, which is perhaps better known as the Holy Grail. Chapters 6 and 7 are concerned with various famous images of Jesus. These are: the Veronica, the Sudarium of Oviedo, the Mandylion and the Shroud of Turin. Chapter 8 moves on to deal with the breastpiece of Aaron. Chapter 9 builds up a family tree for Jesus, and Chapter 10 contains a timeline of key Biblical dates. Chapter 11 discusses religious signs in the heavens. In particular, these are the Star of Bethlehem mystery and the Crucifixion Eclipse. The lost treasure of Noah’s Ark is discussed in Chapter 12, and some final concluding comments are made in Chapter 13.

Press release 26 June 2007:
Release Source: Mike McDonnell FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lost Treasures of the Bible Rediscovered Melbourne, Australia —June 27, 2007— Mike McDonnell’s new book “Lost Treasures of the Bible” has resulted from his study of the extensive works of famous Catholic mystics Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824) and Venerable Mary of Agreda (1602-1665). This has led to the rediscovery of information about various Biblical treasures through references that can be found sprinkled through their wonderful, but too little read, works. These treasures include the Ark of the Covenant, Aaron’s Rod, the Chalice of the Last Supper, the Veronica, the Shroud of Turin, the family tree of Jesus, a time-line of key Biblical dates, and Noah’s Ark. None of this contradicts the Bible but significantly more detail is added. For example, the year 4004BC for the creation of Adam and Eve from the Emmerich visions agrees with that calculated by the Anglican Bishop James Ussher (1581-1656) of Armagh in his celebrated studies of ancient history and the Bible. This gives credence to Bishop Ussher and leads to detailed date calculations during the time of Jesus. Mike wrote the book to help counter the widespread belief that much of the Old Testament is fantasy. Ultimately belief needs faith, but this faith can be supported by considerable facts and logic. It is not blind. The book has been published in conjunction with Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books. Mike used Lulu because he wanted to be in control of the publishing process and found Lulu’s print-on-demand tools to be fast, easy and cost effective.
