piningpining (photo book)
Print: $17.33 I took these photographs during the course of 3 walks in my neighborhood of lake orion, Michigan during the winter of 2007. I used a beat up salvation army point and shoot, dollar store film and 1 hour development. whenever I felt the urge to photograph I did so immediately without much struggle over composing since I wanted to preserve what it is that made me photograph in the first place, that little tugging urge. my Nishiki aided me in this venture since I didn’t have to mess around with f stops and shutter speeds, I was able to capture quickly without fussing. luck was involved in a few of the photographs. pining is also my goodbye to michigan, I will be moving back to california soon, so the pictures in it are what I'll want to remember, what I'll miss and what ive come to appreciate.
