Jonah is a favorite book for young and old alike. It is the story of a wayward prophet, a big fish, and an almighty God who governs not only Israel, but all of the creation. The story is also a reminder, though, of our own tendency to run in the opposite direction when God calls us to serve in a place or context that does not suit "our" plans or agenda.
