It is my great pleasure to introduce you to Issue Two of Reality Complex. Inside, you will find another menagerie of genre and style, all brought together under the umbrella of speculative fiction. Each story and poem helps to shape and define our interpretation of the speculative – those ideas which challenge the way we think of this world.
Between these pages you will find the antics of a wily doctor, the mistakes of a wistful artist, and the crimes of protective offspring. You’ll find poems of love, loss, and longing, but not in the usual sense – and of course, a few space adventures for good measure.
We offer our deepest gratitude to the contributors who have entrusted us with their impressive work. It was, as always, a pleasure putting it all together for you, and we ask only that you, the readers, show your appreciation by enjoying what they have created for you – after all, what more can any author hope for?

Reality Complex
Reality Complex is a magazine of speculative fiction. We think of speculative fiction as an umbrella term which includes fantasy, science-fiction, and supernatural horror, but extends to include any literature which challenges the human mind to question the nature of things in new and interesting ways. Think of a reality complex as the condition one is left in after his understanding of the world is suddenly and irrevocably changed. After all, reality is not always as simple as it may seem. Reality Complex will be published quarterly both online and in print.
