Donald Rueter
Donald Rueter retired in 2004 after 34 years at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA. At the time of his retirement, he was a Professor of Computer Information Systems. During his tenure at OCC he had also taught classes in three other divisions, managed the student computing facility, created many computerized applications that are used in college business processes, conducted staff development workshops, and served as an Interim Dean in the Business Division.
Prior to coming to Orange Coast College, Rueter attended Concordia Teachers College in Nebraska, taught at Lutheran High School in Denver, CO, and attended the University of Southern California where he earned MSEd and EdD degrees.
Don lives with his wife Rose Ann in Irvine, CA, and enjoys spending time with his four children and eight grandchildren. He is active in his church and enjoys traveling.
