Vale Anoai's Blog
2008 Aug 28 Hello readers,
welcome to my very first Lulu blog. Let me get all the little things out of the way so that you'll come away learning the essentials of me and my personality.
At the time of this writing, I am a 23-year-old author of three books (All published right here on Lulu.com), and an actress, with the distinction of being a SAG (Screen Actors Guild) member. Here is my IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase) page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2577016/ That'll give you a list of the films I've been in (a more detailed resume is also on that page).
My last name may be familiar to wrestling fans; I am indeed of that line. Afa the Wild Samoan is my father, so my life has NEVER, ever been boring, to say the least! I've been all over the country and was fortunate enough to go to Europe twice thanks to the wrestling business. It's been good to us. I myself do not wrestle, but all 3 of my brothers, two uncles, and MANY of my cousins do.
I don't know if there's any one particular thing that made me fall in love with reading and writing at a very early age. Perhaps the very unorthodox way I was raised (always on the road, at wrestling shows, surrounded by people of every possible walk of life, and rarely being around people my own age) has something to do with it. I was always content to just sit by myself and draw or read or write, I never needed other people to feel fulfilled. The same still applies today.
I have two dogs, who are the absolute loves of my life. A 6-year-old chihuahua named Madison and a 1-year-old pit bull named Siva. They absolutely adore each other, they compliment each other in every way. I always refer to them as "My daughters", and they most definitely are. They own me, and they know it.
Some of my interests are a bit unusual, but I love them nonetheless. I'm absolutely fanatical for Jigsaw, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and The Joker. They're my three evil genius psychotic darlings, and I adore them. I have every one of the Hannibal Lecter books by Thomas Harris, and all of the movies. Every one of the Saw movies are proudly displayed on my shelves too.
Another one of my lifelong fascinations is that delightful Siberian Mad Monk, Grigori Efimovich Rasputin. Since 6th grade, I've been intensely fascinated with the man. Certain historical figures just enrapture my imagination, and he's the top of the list. I have a veritable treasure trove of Rasputin-related items. The movie "Rasputin- Dark Servant of Destiny" starring Alan Rickman, "The Rasputin File" by Edvard Radzinsky, two framed 8x10 photos of him, a Biography channel DVD about Rasputin...yeah, I guess you could call him my pet obsession.
Well, those are the bare-bones basics of me. Know that despite my unorthodox background and my crazy family life, I am the very picture of class and elegance. I'm infinitely more mature than the vast majority of people in my age group. I've never touched drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes in my life, I hate parties, and I am often told that I must have been an English teacher in a past life. When people send me emails or messages with horrifically bad spelling and abbreviations, sometimes I get so mad that I just delete them. When people talk to me using unrefined and vulgar language, I ignore them. I can't tolerate rude and vulgar people.
ANYway, thanks for taking the time to read this. The best way to get to know the essence of me, though, is through my books. I put every bit of myself into those books. Holding one of my books in your hands is like holding my very heart and soul.
Go visit my storefront and take a chance on me and my books. You might be very pleasantly surprised =)

Download: $1.25 Hardcover Print: $18.75 The First Poetry Book by Actress, Model, and Writer Lynn Tovale Anoai (a.k.a. "Scarlett Vain").
"Some of my poems are downright disturbing, some are searingly romantic, some are just funny.
My writing style varies greatly. Some of my poems are free verse, reading more like mini-stories, some are painstakingly structured into iambic pentameter (good old fashioned Sonnet style), they're all a little bit different.
The subjects, too, are extremely varied. There are seven "sections", making it easier to find a particular subject. Poems about Love and Heartbreak, Poems about Death and the Afterlife, Poems about Places and Times, Poems about People, Poems Inspired by Dreams, Poems that Just Defy Explanation, and Fragments."
