Perspectives: Christianity and World Religions We all want to make it through life with some degree of success, some sense that we did it right. And if others think they know a way for life to be satisfying, even meaningful, it's at least worth checking out. What about the world's major religions? The following is an opportunity to look into these major world faith systems: Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. Here you will find a brief description of each, the distinguishing characteristics of these spiritual ways, and what a person can gain from them. Each belief system is divided into sections coving a brief introduction, views of God, Humanity and the Universe, Salvation and the Afterlife, Morals, Worship, and Beliefs that Divide (from Christianity). This booklet is written to compare Christianity with these belief systems and is composed from that particular perspective – therefore Christianity is not presented in the same format.

A Mosaic of the Christian Belief

A Mosaic of the Christian BeliefA Mosaic of the Christian Belief (book)

This book is my personal attempt at describing the doctrines of the Christian faith. I have limited the doctrines to just ten. In my experience with the Christian faith, I have come to believe that these ten are the most universal among Christian denominations. While each denomination (i.e. Baptist, Methodist, Church of Christ, etc.) may have it’s own differences of interpretation with each doctrine, this work is at best an incomplete summary. Please note that this work does not include differences between Catholic and Protestant churches, but does tend to weigh heavily towards the reformed traditions.

The Living Water : Cleansing The Ecological Sin

The Living Water : Cleansing The Ecological SinThe Living Water : Cleansing The Ecological Sin (book)

The process of wastewater treatment presents a model of eco-theology in which humanity can free itself from the ecological sin it commits. Creating an appropriate model of ecology stems from my employment and management of water and wastewater treatment plants. In the processes of filtration, I have noticed several similarities that relate to John Wesley’s methods and means of grace. The purpose of this book is to organize this process into a systematic method to create a model of grace and the human condition as it relates to eco – theology.

The Book Of JOB : A Bible Study

Job is one of the Old Testament books of wisdom that addresses the perennial problem of absurd and excessive human suffering. The narrative is set within a prologue in which Satan suggests to God that no one serves God disinterestedly. When someone chooses to serve God, they expect something in return for their faithful actions. Such was the challenge of Satan. But there is still a deeper level of truth behind the book of Job. The book of Job illustrates that there are reasons and purposes in these trials and sufferings that humans do not see.

The Gospel Of Mark : A Bible Study

The shortest of the four gospels, the Gospel of Mark is a compelling story of Jesus. Mark’s Gospel is a rapid succession of vivid pictures loosely strung together without much attempt to bind them into a whole or give the events in their natural sequence. This pictorial power is that which specially characterizes this evangelist. The leading principle running through this Gospel may be expressed in the motto: Jesus came...preaching the gospel of the kingdom (Mark 1:14). Rev. Scott Stewart

This second edition is my tribute to her since she is not around to help me out in my cooking endeavors (she has helped me out in numerous ways other than cooking). Since her passing, I have taught my daughter these recipes.
