Born in Flint Michigan Steve and his family moved to the Panama Canal Zone when he was six years old. Returning to his home state Steve graduated from Linden high school before spending some time in Colorado and then doing a four year stint in the US Navy. His first two books reflect a world view shaped by travel and experiences one can only find by stepping outside the comfort of your own back yard.
