Stephen Charles Long's art studies began twenty five years ago, with awards after five years. Studied under two of the finest artist of our time Darla Puryear for three years and the Master L.E. Schallawitz . Design layout for Stained Glass windows, naturalist paintings with many years in Engineering design teams.
From his childhood Mr. Long was exposed to all the arts. Live music was common in his home. A family talented in art and music could only lead his life in one direction. His mother is a talented artist and poet... His grandmother and grandfather were published poets... His father and mother were musicians as well...
At the age of sixteen, while playing with two bands, he recorded his first of three albums. He was also lead guitarist for a musical theater group called... "Up With People."
While performing, coached by the groups director, his writing began, songs were written with friends and solo... He is still writing, Poetry, a new mystery novel and a short story on occasion. He plays instrumental music and has one of his songs on his upcoming CD with lyrics, sang by him...
His photography provides a unique perspective. From the Yucatan peninsula to near the Yukon, his photos reveal many levels of this journey that is life.
Early on he found that the mystical side of life would surface time and again. Rather than dismiss it, he became interested. That was when he published his first book, "Mystic Poems." A year later "Mystic Navigation" became available. Continuing the Mystic series, "Mystic Realms" is now available...
Now he has written a paranormal murder mystery "The Diamond Hill Haunt," available right here and it is soon to go global.
